Cooling system with direct expansion ( DX )
With the cooling system with direct expansion, the milk is cooled making the gas freon pass through the evaporator in direct contact with the milk. The laser welded evaporator’s construction grants a quick cooling, efficient and without problem on a solid installation.
Thanks to the direct evaporation and to the correct milk agitation, the thermal exchange is optimal, granting a high cooling capacity.
Based on the combination of the milk cooling system with a traditional milking parlour or with a robotic milking system, two working methods are available.
Traditional milking: Setting the delayed start of the cooling unit, it will begin to work at 100% capacity on a continuous basis only when reaching the 10% volume of the tank.
Robotic milking: If the volume of the milk to be cooled is <10% it is necessary to install a soft start cooling (SSC), the cooling unit Eco-Cool works at regular intervals. If instead the volume of the milk to be cooled is > 10%: the cooling unit Eco-cool will work at 100% on a continuous basis.
